Tributyrin supplementation in pasteurized waste milk: Effects on growth performance, health, and blood parameters of dairy calves

This study evaluated the effects of incremental tributyrin supplementation in pasteurized waste milk on growth performance, health, and blood metabolism dairy calves before after weaning. Forty-eight newborn female Holstein (39.6 ± 2.75 kg; mean standard deviation) were blocked by age randomly assigned to 3 treatments: (1) without supplementation, (2) with 1 g/L products (unprotected solid powder; containing 35% tributyrin), or (3) 2 products.
